Anyone with kids, or grandkids, looking for something fun this half term?
We’ve just created a couple of geolocated multi-media seaside trails for kids this Halloween. You can follow trails in Saltdean (from the Lido to the beach and WhiteCliffs cafe) and Rottingdean (from Daisy’s Pantry to Molly’s). They will be there all week, and we’ll keep them live into November.
Easy to access on your phones, they have little characters, short films, Halloween history and tips for local activities. We’re aiming to get kids running around, having fun, learning how to use maps, in the fresh air, as well as supporting local organisations.
Funded by European Space Agency, it’s completely free – no downloading of apps and no dodgy collection of personal data. You just scan a QR code and follow the interactive map. Here’s one of the QR codes, it will get you onto the interactive map. Go to Saltdean or Rottingdean and find other QR codes. Or once on the map you will be notified when you’ve found another character.

The other way to access it is through links, but some phones prefer QR codes. If links are easier for you and your phone likes them too, then you could try just clicking below to try out the experiences.
